Silent I stood

In my fields of grain.

Staring at the horizon,

There where soldiers on the plane.

I looked on,

Ever nearer they came,

Their banner was waving,

Their uniforms bloodstained.

I counted two score,

Heading towards me that day.

They came down the road,

passing into the lane.

"Stop!" they shouted

"You're under arrest!"

They charged me, swords waving

"Don't run or protest!"

They grabbed me,

Strong arms wrapping 'round my neck

I couldn't call for help,

They had me in check

Oh, I rue that day,

When the Enemy had risen

But no more can be done,

I now am imprisoned.
