Smedley was deadly,

A spitter supreme;

He spat through his teeth

In short bursts or a stream.

He spat with such force,

Yet with wonderful style;

Our mothers thought

Smedley was perfectly vile!

Yes, Smedley was boring

And hardly a wit -

But Smedley was special

'cause boy could he spit!
